pepper the larger type competes with the red pepper a bit too much. i'd say the smaller type is better. consider the color relationship of image and type. is "vote" in green telling the green peppers to go vote, since the red one is going to vote already? or do you want to equate "vote" with the red pepper by making it red too? that way the idea is reinforced more also.
issues/wood type i prefer the angled photo, but the "support" text. you may hate me for saying this, but did you try a solid black on the background of the photo? maybe do a real quick version to see how it looks. if it's better, go back and cut around the objects carefully.
